Janine Guillot is an experienced financial services leader with over 30 years’ experience in banking, asset management and pension fund management. She has a track record of managing organizations in the private, government and non-profit sectors. She is an expert on sustainability and climate-related financial disclosure.

She currently serves as Senior Advisor to Boston Consulting Group (BSG) where she works with clients on sustainability disclosure and integrating sustainability information into business and investment strategy. She is also Stewardship and Sustainable Investing Advisory Council Member at the employee-owned investment management firm, Neuberger Berman.

Prior to her current position, she served as Special Advisor to the Chair of the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB), where she provided strategic counsel to the ISSB Chair and IFRS Foundation Trustees. From 2019 to 2021, Guillot was Chief Executive Officer of the SASB Foundation and the Value Reporting Foundation (VRF). She led SASB and the VRF to global recognition as leaders in investor-focused sustainability disclosure. Under her leadership, global investor support for the SASB Standards grew to over $70 trillion in assets, and SASB standards became the leading tool for the integration of materiality-based sustainability factors into investment and stewardship practices.

Before joining the SASB Foundation, Guillot served as Chief Operating Investment Officer for the California Public Employees’ Retirement System (CalPERS) and held senior leadership positions at Barclays Global Investors (BGI) and Bank of America, including serving as Chief Operating Officer of BGI’s European and Global Fixed Income businesses.

A graduate of Southern Methodist University (SMU), Guillot began her career as a technical accountant and auditor with Ernst & Young. In recognition for her leadership at the intersection of sustainability, accounting and finance, she was selected as a 2020 and 2021 NACD Directorship 100 Honoree and named to the 2020 Business Insider's 100 People Transforming Business list.

Guillot currently serves on the Boards of ReFED (a non-profit focused on advancing data driven solutions to food waste), the Gardens of Golden Gate Park, the Capitals Coalition (previously the International Foundation for Valuing Impacts) and on the Advisory Board of Blockchain Coinventors. She previously served on the Boards of Directors of Equilibrium Capital, B Lab Global and on the Climate-related Financial Risk Advisory Committee to the US Financial Stability Oversight Council. She served on the Board of the Marin Agricultural Land Trust for nine years and is currently a member of its Advisory Committee.
